Capital Area Food Bank hosts their 5th annual “Empty Bowls” event this Wednesday, October 17th. “Empty Bowls” brings the community together through art, a bowl of soup and the desire to help in the struggle against hunger. For just $25, guests enjoy a meal of soup and bread, and take home hand-made ceramic bowls created by local artists. The beautiful bowls, which are a highlight of the event, are a reminder of the 680,000 empty bowls in our region.
